To add a movie click the icon at the top of the page. This opens the Movie Modify Page. Enter a movie title (e.g. Avatar) and optionally year the movie was released (e.g. 2009) then click the [Import Movie from Web] button. The system tries it’s best to locate the movie on IMDB and other sites. After data has been imported you will be brought back in the Movie Modify Page where you can edit the data prior to saving. On first save the system look ups up additional movie information from other sites that cannot be modified (i.e. immutable data) such as Rotten Tomatoes’ Rating and CSM suggested age.

If "Import Persons on Save" setting is set to "Yes", the system will also import information for each cast member, director, writer, and composer. Only persons that have not been previously imported will be retrieved. As of version 0.1.8d, the person data is queued for import which means you don't have to wait for these imports to complete.

The system can also import by UPC code. Enter the full UPC code off the DVD or Blu-ray cover. Make sure to include the first and last digit which appear for left and right of the barcode.

If both UPC code and title/year are entered, the UPC code takes precedance. Once scrapper URLs are specified, they take precedance over UPC code and title/year.

Use the [Clear] button to clear all data from all tabs except the fields above the line in the "Details" tab. Note clear will also removed all manu

Before saving you may also want to enter the path to your movie files. By convention, lower quality files should be entered into the “DVD File” (e.g. \\mynas\movies\Avatar.mpg) field and higher quality files should be entered into the “Blu-Ray File” (e.g. \\mynas\movies\Avatar.m2ts) field.

After saving, the system displays the Movie Detail Page..
