Movie Detail Page

Movie Detail Page displays all information about a movie that the system has collected.

The Movie Detail Page is divided into several sections.  Starting from the top left is the cover image for the movie.  Just below that, boxed in orange, is where “movie attached” custom lists appear.  Right of that, boxed in blue, is a list of all movie attributes except the cast which is displayed far right, boxed in red. At the bottom, boxed in green, are the movie images.

Any text in blue are links to other pages. If a link is a label like 'Year', clicking on it takes you to the Advance Search Results Page and display movies ordered by that attribute usually in decending order (i.e. most recent first). If a link is a value like ‘2006’, clicking on it takes you to the Advance Search Results Page and displays movies filtered by that attribute value. If a link is a person’s name then clicking on it navigates to the Person Detail Page.

To edit data of an existing movie, click on the pencil icon located at the top right of the page. If you do not have modify access then this icon will not appear.

If "External Links" setting is set to "Yes" a small chain link icon appear at the top right of the page. Hovering over the icon drops down a menu with links to source data. Clicking on a link will load that page in a different tab.

Hovering the mouse pointer over any image, shows a magnified view of that image in the center of the screen.

Hovering the mouse pointer over movie titles in the “Casts” section shows movie details in a popup.

The mouse scroll wheel can be used to scroll through each section of the page include the horizontal scrollbar in the image section.

Clicking on a custom list brings that list into a viewer. To hide the viewer either click on the custom list button again or click or scroll somewhere else on the page.

Movie File Information

You can see more information about the physical media file by hovering over the round blue icon next to each file.   Behind the scenes, the system uses a program called mediainfo to retrieve more information about the media like the running time, bit rate, and tracks.
